The Kurt Jorgensen Band, formed in 1998, is recognized by peers and critics alike as one of the Twin Cities’ best original bands.  Incorporating blues, soul, jazz and rock into a unique style the band calls Americana Soul; the Minnesota Music Awards has twice awarded them Artist of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Male Vocalist, Best Female Vocalist and Album of the Year. Kurt and the band are currently working on the band’s ninth album.   

The Kurt Jorgensen Band has played countless shows and outdoor festivals and often opens for national acts which have included Joe Cocker, Lynyrd Skynyrd , The Guess Who, America, The Little River Band, Blue Oyster Cult, Foghat, Double Trouble and more.

The two troubadours teamed up to record Brianna’s debut album “Wandering” with Kurt acting as producer and arranger for Brianna’s multi-instrumentalist talents. It did not take long for the pair to team up as songwriters and performers to form Jorgensen Tagg. The sound is powerful and undeniably fresh, taking root in rock, blues, pop, and soul and a southern kissed classic rock sound. The two performers are fast making an indelible mark on the Local and national music scene.

Kurt Jorgensen is the long time band leader of the Kurt Jorgensen Band, releasing eight albums to date and receiving the praise of fans and critics alike. The Minnesota Music Awards has presented Kurt with singer of the year, entertainer of the year, songwriter of the year, album of the year, and song of the year.

Brianna has toured nationwide and has also performed multiple times at South by Southwest, impressing industry luminaries and fans. Jorgensen Tagg performs as a duo and as 7 pc. Band.
